VMA is fundamentally based around a Panantukan concept then enhanced with our “shield protection programme” as well as drawing elements from other related martial arts and self defence systems chosen for their effectiveness and practical application blended together thus creating an all round close –combat defence system.
The primary focus of our martial arts curriculum is on personal protection and to help equip our juniors and adults student’s with some essential age related skills that are relevant and lean towards today’s society while still keeping to some of the true traditional values held within the martial arts our training curriculum is flexible to the individual students ability promoting creativity and fluid off motion it can also be a fantastic work out and its FUN.

All our structured martial arts classes plus the additional self defence workshops are friendly and fun while training in a safe and ego free environment suitable for both male and female students regardless of starting fitness level.
No previous experience is required to start training as we are careful to build this steadily and in stages with progressive resistance how we do this will depend on the individual student the emphasis is on students initially doing what they are able to do and are comfortable with.
